This seems to be a scenario where I’m in the minority, and that’s more than okay! But this one just had too many toxic traits that I couldn’t get behind. *mild spoilers ahead*

For whatever reason, Jess liked to provoke Gavin. And not even in a cute, fun way? But he was into her, she said no, and then would be like oh I kissed another guy, or I went home with someone, or I could get any guy I want, just to get a response out of him. And then Gavin’s first thought was “I’ll kill her”. Yeah. Romantic.

Plus for as much as she kept mentioning that Gavin being a patient of hers and his recovery was a secret, she sure liked to tell anyone that would listen about him.

And it’s not like Gavin was much better. To me he gave off a “holier than thou” vibe. Sure he’s an athlete but it wasn’t cocky bravado, it was over and over again of how he or his past team were better than the new guys he was with. The organization, the facility, the entire experience. And the first portion of the book is him pining for his girlfriend who won’t give him any attention, and once she dumps him, THE NEXT DAY goes wow Jess is hot and kisses her. Please someone just make it make sense.

There was too much overreaction from these two, I didn’t feel anything for them, and was just ready to be done.

Can Love Heal All?
What I really enjoyed about this baseball romance was that the hero had to take a hard look at reality since he may or may not recover enough from his injury to play again. These are the harsh realities professional athletes have to face all the time. I also liked that the heroine wasn’t a fashion plate and needed to gain a little more confidence in herself – in other words, she was real.

Gavin has just been traded to the Sonics because the Dodgers didn’t feel they could gamble on his recovery from a recent knee injury. Jessica is Gavin’s physical therapist – she’s creative and flexible in her approach and doesn’t pull any punches in the honesty department. Gavin was a good solid hero and faithful as they come – once he set his mind to Jessica, that was it for him.

Once again, I really enjoyed all the team pranks and camaraderie shown in this story. What I wish was different: would have liked to have seen a resolution to Gavin’s relationship with his dad

Thanks for an ARC to read and review.

I love smexy romances, so sweet and so sexy. Katie Rose has really hit this one out of the ballpark. Absolutely Devine cover. Jessica is a physical therapist who doesn't want to date a hot as hell althlete. Are they're any ugly ones? She's been down that road..... Well isn't it the same as riding a bike. A injured athlete that just wants to heal without any distractions. With a gorgeous redhead as a physical therapist....what man can resist? Wonderful chemistry, and great romantic book!

Katie Rose you did a great job on this one. Who doesn't love a bad boy needing help and a good girl wanting to but shouldn't want to.......
