The was a nice light read, compared to the rest of the books in the series. I felt that this story was the foundation that needed to be set in order to better enjoy the rest of the series.

Wicked fall is the first book I've read by Sawyer Bennett, and it won't be the last!
With cowboys, kink and good ol' fashioned fucking, Wicked fall delivers on steamy sex sessions, panty-dropping sweet talk and sex God like guys.
The whole package (no pun intended) is there, hell it should have been a billion stars, and yet, it's not.
This does not mean it's bad, no! Far from it, just a little undercooked in my opinion.
The introduction to kink and ménage were reasonably done and even though the BDSM was practically non-existent in the sex scenes, aftercare was addressed.
What I didn't buy into was the emotional reactions to things. Characters were conflicted, which is good, but far too rational to seem realistic.
The ménage scene was pretty hot, but seemed a bit extreme for a first time. The emotional rollercoaster was okay, but while they were in that scene I would have liked a bit more from all involved. The physical stuff was spot on, it was the mental stuff that didn't work for me.
There was a lot of 'pistoning' and 'burying' of certain parts of the male anatomy, and while I get the implication, sometimes something a little less aggressive would have been nice.
While I'm talking about Callie's nether region, I must mention Woolfe's (yes, Woolfe after Virginia Woolfe) obsession with it. It was borderline addiction! I know guys and girls get a bit sex crazy, but seriously? It was like a junkie needing a hit!
Overall, the sex is hot, the story reasonable and the characters a little too perfect, but I enjoyed it and especially enjoyed Cain's scene at the end. I look forward to reading more from this series, here's hoping they'll come with a bit more kink.
**Note: I received an electronic copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**
I really love Sawyer Bennett's books, so I had to try this one, even though it was a little outside my comfort zone. This story of Woolf, who owns a nightclub and secret sex club, and Callie, was a good one. Some of the sex club antics tested my limits, but I really liked the book regardless.
Callie and Woolf were good characters, and I enjoyed the way their relationship developed. The setting was interesting and the storyline kept my attention. I'll definitely be reading more of the series.
4.5 Stars
Wow!!! Talk about STEAMY!!! this book has to be the steamiest read that I have read from Sawyer Bennett. This book will take you out of your comfort zone at times.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was everything I have come to expect from a Sawyer Bennett but OH so much more. I loved this side of Sawyer. I love when an author can step out of their normal box and give us a new side to their writing. And that is exactly what Ms. Bennett has done with this series.
This book reads similar to a second chance love story, but wasn't really one because Callie and Woolf never really get together in the past. There are some minor hook-ups and Callie has been secretly in love with Woolf for years but they aren't truly together until their reconnection.
This story is a standalone novel in Sawyer Bennett's The Wicked Horse Series. I would say this series is off to a great start and I look forward to reading all the books in this series. I am just sorry it took me so long to read these books. I loved that it was written in Dual POV. I felt it added more depth and feelings to the characters by hearing both sides to this story.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Sawyer Bennetts. Also if you love a really steamy book that also has a great storyline but not a whole lot of excess drama then this is the book to read!!! Make sure to have a fan and some ice cold water next to you when you read it, you'll need it ;)
