Thank you to Little Brown Books for Young Readers for providing an eARC for review.

I was very excited to read this book. I gobble up anything about WWII and Hitler. The plot of this book is fascinating and different. However, what I did not know was the science fiction or alternate reality of this story. I felt lost after a while and could not connect. I could understand Yael needing to change to look Aryan, but the shapeshifting lost me.

I always said I will give this book another go. Maybe if I listened to the audio I would have a better understanding and experience.

I LOVED this book and highly recommend it to my students who like science fiction thrillers. The author makes the premise a sci-fi possibility with some connections to actual history. Great fun read.

I unfortunately was not able to read this book. I was excited when ever I had chosen to download or pick this book up on Netgalley. However, time moves by so quickly and I never got to read it.

This was so good! So suspenseful, I felt like I was holding my breath the entire time, and at the end I literally gasped out loud.

Even though I was offered an advanced book for no charge from Netgalley, I purchased it after I read it. It was THAT GOOD!!! Great read for fans of any genre. The characters were strong and real. I was on edge until the very end...I purchased the sequel Blood for Blood the very day it was released!!!

My heart was pounding while reading this book! A great, fast-paced, light adventure set in an alternate-history world in which the Axis powers won WWII - and in which a young girl has shapeshifting powers. She has to win a motorcycle race across the Nazi-controlled world, from Berlin to Tokyo, in order to assassinate Hitler.

Yael was a fantastic heroine. Well-defined, brave, determined, smart and good at what she does. The supporting characters weren't that fleshed out, but good nonetheless: all the focus was on Yael and her quest. It was so exciting!

Overall, a quick, fast-paced, interesting read, even if some things might have been 'too easy'.

I was a history nerd at school and learning about Nazi Germany always seemed to fascinate me. No wonder this book was so amazing in my mind.

This is the first young adult novel I have ever read to be set in a world where Germany won WWII. It is a brand new, unique concept that I really found intriguing, especially to see how Graudin thought the world would have turned out under the rein of Hitler.

What i also enjoyed massively about this book was the characters, particularly Yael. The plot sees her having to live a double life – kind of- and this was really fascinating to read about, especially when we were in the same position as her, not knowing much about the girl she has to impersonate.

The flash backs into Yael’s past were also weaved in very well in my opinion. They were scattered throughout the book and flowed perfectly from the present day to the past. I usually hate back stories within novels but this for me was done perfectly.

At first I was sceptical about the issue of a motorcycle race in this book as I was scared we would be bombarded with jargon all about bikes. Luckily for us it was a lot more laid back and it actually made me find out that I really like race aspects in novels.

There were no real downsides to this book for me, despite it taking me a while to get through. I don’t think you have to be a history nerd to enjoy this novel, but I think history nerds will enjoy it even more.

I am very excited to see where the story carries on!

A phenomenal alt history/sci fi book centered around a Holocaust survivor that was used for human experiments. Due to the injections she was given, Yael can change how she looks and become anyone's doppelgänger.

In this version of history, Hitler won the war and now controls most of the world. Yael is working with the Resistance to bring him down and everything rests on her shoulders.

Fast paced and riveting, the reader gets to travel the world as Yael and others race across the lands in a motorbike competition. Deceit and double crossing abound, and the tale comes to a climactic crash that reader will thoroughly enjoy. Highly recommended!

Plot development was key in this book as it was initially hard for my readers to consume. Overall, great character development and uniquely engaging. B+

Set in an alternate Post-WWII reality where the Nazis won, Wolf by Wolf is an exhilarating ride. Yael, a child during the Holocaust, has been altered forever by her past (in quite an unusual way!) and haunted by her demons. She embarks on a motorcycle race across the world, where she is surrounded by traitors, treachery, lies, and tricky situations. Wolf by Wolf is a fun thought experiment that I was blown away by, with kick-ass characters. I can't wait to read the sequel!
