An historical paranormal with a plot that was difficult to read, chemistry that felt a bit forced and at times I was having to flip back to figure out the story.

I'm sure there are readers out there who will latch onto this book and enjoy it.

This book delivers! To begin, I was first intrigued by the cover - it sets up a steamy promise, and the book certainly delivers on it. After the cover, I was drawn in by the premise - the mixture of historical romance and magic is not one that I’ve read or even really seen often, and I was very hopeful going into my reading.

Cassandra and Garrett are well developed characters, and their story is not to be missed. The fantastical and historical blend very well together here to form a dynamic and interesting story.

This is the first in a series and I not only highly recommend reading it, but grabbing the next ones as soon as they’re available too!
