A very quick read (a little more than a 90min flight up the East coast of Australia), Retribution packs in quite a lot.

Fresh from the end of book #1, we are thrust back into the tribute program but this time with two men. I’m a fan of m/m romance, smut and porn, so that aspect didn’t bother me. What did was how light on it felt.

The content was heavy with torture and dubious/non-consent, but this time I felt more a voyeur than experiencing it with the characters.

Definitely for adults only, Retribution feels like it suffers from middle child syndrome. I’ll definitely read book #3, just wanted a bit more from this one.

Its been a long time since I read these books and to be honest I cannot recall what I thought of them at all.
