My first thought when I saw this cover was what a great beach read it would make - and I wasn't wrong. An easy light read - a perfect but if escapism.

Pleasure Island by Anna Lou Weatherley

Pleasure Island has a unique premise that reminded me of some reality TV shows, minus the drugs. lol. We've got a very rich man who has set these couples up for a pretty amazing vacation, but there's a lot beneath the surface. They have no idea they're being filmed, for one thing. Lots of secrets rise to the surface and there's some mystery and suspense. I loved the descriptions of the couples' accommodations! I did struggle a bit because I didn't really like any of the characters, and since I'm such a character-driven reader I found myself not caring at times. But for the most part, I was so invested in what was going to happen and what was going to be revealed that I didn't even care that I had no characters to form attachments to. There are some shocking twists that kept me turning the pages long into the night. I will definitely be recommending this to people who enjoy reality TV shows like Love Island and Temptation Island. Pleasure Island feels similar, but with higher stakes. Thrilling!

Really enjoyable read. Good characters and a Good story. Well worth a read. Think others will. Enjoy
