I enjoyed the book the plot and character entertaining and it kept me interested the whole time would read this author again

Cara and Travis are old high school sweethearts. She's looking for more than just sex but they're so hot for each other, she wants to fuck him out of her system before she can move on to her Mister Right and not mister right now.
But their smokin hot chemistry is off the hooks. They try hard to pretend that they can have casual Sex and still not want more but it becomes complicated when they start falling for each other. This is a lovely story and I enjoyed it, they are meant for each other.

I don't normally read second chance romances but there was just something about this book from the synopsis that grabbed me and boy was I glad I read it. Travis and Cara had chemistry that could either sink a ship or support a nation. It was never in short supply. It was apparent right off that these two would spark off of each other with the least provocation, the only question was, would it be giving into explosive lust or would it be explosive lust in the form of frustrated anger. Then Cara goes and does something unexpected not only to me but to Travis as well. the new question is can they deal with it?

This was an extremely hot read with lusty scenes and panty melting dialogue. The characters will ensare you into their wild venture and keep you on edge as they walk the emotional mine field to a happy ending. This is a great read to settle in for the weekend.

I love Lauren's books, she always gifts us with these sexy strong Alpha males we can't resist and this is no exception!
Travis is sexy, strong, a Firefighter and a hundred percent unavailable. He doesn't trust woman enough to open up his heart, no love is worth risking your sanity and ending up with a whole in your heart and soul if something bad happens.

Cara is a sweet, strong woman, who is ready for the next step; she knows what she wants from life and she is ready to go for it, but there's one small problem and his name is Travis.

Together they start this sex-escapade dance, where they go at each other like animals trying to get the other out of their system. It's the perfect plan, unless one of them falls in love.

In life you can always try to make plans and strategize, but in the end you can't predict everything, and in matters of the heart no rules apply.

The chemistry between these two is crazy, no kidding she couldn't get over him, the way in which they connect is something each and everyone of us hope for when finding that person to spend forever with.

This is a risk everything for love kind of story, they both need to leave their safety nets behind and go for all or nothing. Travis being a Poker master has a hard time understanding that at first but when the truth hits him in the face there's no turning back, he has to get his girl.

I have to confess Lauren Blakely is a hit and miss author for me, but this series has worked for me and from the start firefighter and pro poker player, Travis and dog trainer, Cara's trip down memory lane was a hit.

"...the sooner I stop thinking about you, and daydreaming about the sex we’ve had, and imagining all the things you’d do to me, the better off I’ll be."

Neither Cara or Travis are looking for anything permanent and with Travis determined to win the firefighter' charity bachelor auction, his pup needs training to do so and Cara is the woman to help him. And with a natural chemistry that comes from a history and being comfortable and familiar around one another, they're nothing but honest in what they want.

"Is it getting me out of your system?"
"No. It only makes me want more of you."

It was fairly predictable but who cares, because it was a perfect balance of sweet and hot and sexy, with strong likeable characters and of course cute puppy dogs. And it was nice to catch up with previous couples from the series, although this can easily be a standalone. So if that's what you're after, you'll not go far wrong here.

Consumed by You was scorching hot, and very addicting.

Travis and Cara burned up the sheets, or anywhere with a flat, secretive surface. Until they went their separate ways. A few years later when they are back in the same place, it's clear that the passion is still there. Working out a plan they attempt to work each other out of their systems. Will it work this time? Or are they going to cave to the feelings they can't seem to fight?

Lauren delivered an addictive and fast read. This was such a great story, I wasn't able to put it down. Once you are pulled into Travis and Cara's world, you won't want to leave. This is book 3 in the Fighting Fire series. I have yet to read the first two books, but I will be fixing that right away.
