While the sewing tips and tutorials and provided patterns are useful, this book suffers from the same ailment of the majority of up-cycle, recycle, and general diy fashion books for teens (or adults, to be honest). The majority of the projects are not something any actual teen would want to wear. The re-purposing of materials is creative, but hardly fashionable. Teens might attempt to make the projects for the novelty of having made something themselves, but it is unlikely the average teen interested in current fashion and looking to re-create it would pick this book up, look at the projects, and find the trends they are looking to emulate. No recommended.
