This story was beautifully written with much imagination. It is a definite read for adventurers.
Many thanks to Aoleon Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I'm sorry, but my kids and I never got to this one. It sounded fun. How many more characters does this review need?

In this book, a boy named Gilbert meets an alien girl named Aoleon. She has come to visit Earth and practice flying and he decides to go back to Mars with her. When they are leaving Earth, they are chased by the US Air Force. What else could happen?
This book is the first book in a series and it starts the story but leaves you with lots more questions. I think you need to read the rest of the books to find out more. The illustrations are cool and the stuff with the cows is funny.
Mom's note: Some of the vocabulary is a bit hard for elementary school, unless they are typically reading a lot about astronomy and space.
