If all of us wives could think the nine thoughts that are talked about in this book and act them out, I am confident that we would all have much much better marriages. Such practical advice, written in a highly readable manner with lots of such personal stories of both the author herself and of the people that she talked to.

Perfect gift for a newlywed wife! Or the wife who just wants to improve her relationship with her other half.

Thank you Netgalley and Waterbrook Multnomah for the review copy. So sorry this took so long, but this is my honest opinion.

Marriage is no easy relationship. It is not something that can be treated lightly after the white dress is hung up, the flowers have wilted, and the new furniture is moved into a house.

This, written in an easy-to-read style, could be called "The nine secrets of a happy marriage." Gregoire examines damaging assumptions with which women enter and maintain their marriage.

She encourages wives to continue to pursue health and strengthen their marriages by changing their thinking ... and thus their actions. There are chapters on treating our husbands as friend and neighbor, accepting them as they are, not competing, and being a person of peace.

If you have been struggling in marriage or if you need a book that offers hope for a wife who wants to bring health to her marriage relationship, pick this us.

I am absolutely loving this book. I have been highlighting and taking notes all throughout. I am trying to slow myself down and read and glean information slowly, but it is filling a great need in my life right now and is wonderful.
The author walks the reader through nine ways to think differently about your spouse, your marriage and your thoughts. It is a very beneficial book to any married couple no matter their stage of life.
