I wasn't going to rate this because I feel it's unfair to rate when I didn't finish it, but NG is not letting me post without a rating, so...

Laura Andersen's writing is exceptional; however, the story didn't manage to intrigue me, and I found it hard to go through with my reading. It didn't help that I'm not well-versed about the history of the Tudors. I've been trying to finish this ARC for two years, and I feel it's time to give up on it now. It's definitely a case of "it's not the book, it's me" with this one.

Lovely book with good character development and a solid plot. Engaging and recommended!
