Darker the Release was so good! It was different from any other Claire Kent novel I had ever read. I think this was the first time (at least I think so) where she had included a little bit more thrills than her other books. Which isnt a bad thing at all! It was a great sequel, all my questions were answered from the first book and it was very hot, exactly what I like about Claire Kent's novels.
I received this book from Netgalley, but I'm a long time fan of her novels!

Claire Kent writes SEXY very well. I knew that.

But DAMMNNN.

Kelly Watson got involved with billionaire Caleb to find out what REALLY happened to her father all those years ago. So now she's stuck in the mega-mansion, maybe-probably falling in love with the guy who maybe-probably killed her father.

But the sex is good, and she may love him, so what's a girl to do?

Seriously, it's sweet, it's mostly sexy, and it's all angst. Claire Kent has never let me down, and he certainly didn't start with this one.

"Darker the Release" picks up where "Sweet the Sin" left off and now that I've read them both, IT SUDDENLY MAKES SENSE.

Kelly and Caleb, who put us through the wringer with the first novel, don't let up on us. The plot is as twisty and dark as before, and it takes until nearly the last page before the reader sorts it all through.

As with the first installment, I didn't find either of the main characters particularly likable, which I know is not a crime. Their physical attraction and sexy times drowned out nearly any other consideration for me. I am a Claire Kent fan but these books are on the bottom of the list for me.

ARC supplied for an honest review.

This book started super hot, then you started to get into the characters. Loved the entire book.
