I receive a lot of books to review and don't cover all but my favorites. Mindful Management made that cut:
To manage teams and communicate effectively: Mindful Management by Dalton A. Kehoe

I read a lot of business/ professional development books, and this is one of my clear favorites from the past year. The subtitle is “The Neuroscience of Trust and Effective Workplace Leadership” so there are interesting findings on brain science mixed in with leadership coaching. The book also gives excellent strategies and frameworks for motivating employees, gaining trust and connection, and communicating effectively. I recommend the book, not just to managers, but also to staff who want a window into how to manage up and be an effective team member.

Kehoe, Mindful Management

Mindful Management is peppered with insights like the above – rooted in data and studies, but written in a breezy, accessible way. My other favorite takeaways include First You Feel, Then You Decide; and Appreciation: A New Mindset For Problem-Solving. Kehoe focuses on connection and communication as the path to effective leadership.
