Three Novellas in one book!
A Sleigh Ride on Ice Mountain is by Kelly Long. An Amish romance, but not quite what I expected. Not as 'wholesome' as I expected or what I wish to read. Sebastian is a toy maker who is in need of a housekeeper. Katie Zook is raising her little brother who is now disabled due to a buggy accident that took the lives of their parents. Katie is in need of a job. Will there be a forever future for Sebastian and Katie?
A Mamm for Christmas by Amy Lillard. Jess lost his wife just one year ago, and is struggling to raise his three mischievous young daughters all alone. Bernice is their schoolteacher. The girls want a new mamm and one has decided Bernice is the one. You'll laugh at the ploys she comes up with to bring her teacher and daad together!
An Unexpected Christmas Blessing by Molly Jebber. Charity is a young widow, raising her two young children alone. Then, she gets a new neighbor, Luke. Luke has his own issues with trust being one. This is the first Amish book I have read where an Amish character was divorced. I didn't think they believed in divorce.
Charity realizes her children are in need of a father, but is Luke the right one for her and her little family? They seem to have more quarrels than not. And, Luke has a secret that influences his behavior.
I was given a free ecopy of this by the publisher, Kensington and NetGalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.
