I love Christmas and second chance romances so I was a goner for this book! I loved Nick and Ava from the very beginning. The were end game material!

All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid

All Wrapped Up is my first book by Kimberly Kincaid, and I grabbed it because I love Christmas stories and thought it was a great time to check out her work. Second chance romances doesn't always work for me, but this one was nice! I liked Ava and her dreams to become a successful journalist. She feels torn between doing her job and telling the story she's being paid to tell and being a safe space for Nick to share his story. Nick and Ava are so great together. They just mesh so perfectly and understand what the other needs.

I also didn't feel like I was missing anything having not read the first 5 books in this series. It stands on its own just fine, and is an enjoyable, lighthearted romance with some deeper issues tackled in a way that didn't bring down my mood.

Thank you so much for being willing to grant me access to this book. Unfortunately, life obligations have prevented me from doing so. If my schedule clears, I plan on reviewing this in the future and will post the review on Amazon and Goodreads. Thank you.

Pine Mountain is one of my favorite book series destinations in my reading world! With this series, Kimberly Kincaid created a delicious world of strong women and the alpha men who love them. Many battle-scarred, both literally from war or figuratively from life, her characters all managed to find love and healing in their respective stories. As the series gets “all wrapped up,” the mysterious Nick Brennan gets the spotlight, one he definitely does not want!

Those who read the series could sense there was more to “Brennan” than a handsome face and mad bar-managing skills. The “more” occurs when Brennan runs into a burning grocery to save a young boy. As he “fireman” carries the boy to safety, reporter Ava Mancuso comes upon the scene. Ava is looking for story to show her boss that despite a prior mistake, she can develop the big leads that equal big news. Ava watches in fascination the heroic rescue, only to be shocked to see Nick Brennan! THE Nick Brennan she loved and left one summer seven long years ago when they both were working on a island off the coast. Ava remembers Nick and his best friend were heading to the fire academy (ah ha!) after the summer. What is he doing in Pine Mountain?

Ava had a difficult upbringing, growing up poor to alcoholic parents in Philadelphia. When she found herself so deeply in love with Nick, she was unable to face him with the baggage she carried from that childhood. So she ran, eventually winding up in Pine Mountain where the only family she has, her beloved brother and sister-in-law, own the local bakery. Nick too has run to Pine Mountain, escaping a tragedy from his firefighting days. Can Ava and Nick find their way back to each other?

I loved these two characters and was so happy to see them get this book! Nick is one of the most poignant heroes I have read. His sorrow over all his losses just begged to be lessened by love, but I wasn’t sure Ava was up to the task. But Ms.Kincaid knew Ava could do it, and with her superb writing was able to craft an engrossing story of not just second-chance love but of forgiveness and hope. An excellent conclusion to a series! And I am not one for spoilers, but I love the seamless way this author segued into her next series. “All Wrapped Up” was the perfect book to end a perfect series!
