Ashley Davison unexpectedly gets time off from her job and hopes to fly to spend Christmas with her mom. Since Dash only can get on standby for a Seattle flight, he also is desperate to rent a car...which is the last car in the parking lot. What follows is a charming story of Dash and Ashley as they get to know each other as they share a car ride to Seattle. The trip isn't without its hurdles: a puppy is adopted, Homeland Security and the FBI are involved, but still a relationship blooms.
