A few years ago all I read for a was dystopian YA books. I have since moved away from them but this one drew me back into that world. It’s four years after the world has fallen apart everybody is trying to rebuild. Maggie is ready to head off to college and leave her family behind. Edwin who has deemed himself Maggie‘s protector will be there too. Much to her surprise on campus she runs into Devon. Her pre-flair Internet boyfriend that she assumed was dead. Two boys one who holds the key to her past and the other who holds the key to her future, she’s going to have to choose. But before she has a chance to do that the campus is under threat by terrorists. Who will she choose? You’ll have to check out Mixed Singles by Alyssa Cole to find out.

Cute book by a great author. Generally like her stories thus it is a sure hit for me. For anyone who loves NA with romance give it a try.

This is the third book in a post-apocalyptic series. Heads up! I did not read the first two books in this series. Whilst it is fine to read this book as a standalone, it is recommended to read the first two books as there are references to previous events and characters.
After the Flare in which millions has lost their lives and homes Maggie gets the opportunity of going to collage. What are the odds that she gets to be escorted by her longtime crush Edwin?
The books was enjoyable, an easy read, I liked the concept and the love story of these two characters. I would recommend it to my friends.
