Thank you for the arc, unfortunately I did not finish it, I just wasn't the right audience for this book.
I took a break from reading 7 years ago, when I received this book. I wasn’t able to read it before it expired sadly. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I apologize about not being able to review it. I will definitely look out for your future titles.
This was a fun and adventurous read. It offered a lot within the story that makes it quite a ride but also not overwhelming or info-dumpy like some fantasies can tend to do. I wasn't sure if I would like this one as much as I did but I'm glad I read it because I quite enjoyed this worldbuilding and the characters.
This was a struggle. I couldn’t connect with the characters. They were too cliché for me. I did not like Sacha or Taylor, either. The story progressed with not really anything happening at all.
Seriously slow start that almost lost me, it's lost a few of my kids who have taken it off my shelf because of it too. But if you're dedicated there is pay off. The plot does get pretty fast and the events keep you enthralled. I've yet to continue the series because I mostly read this to recommend instead of for myself, it's not up my personal alley but for adventure/danger readers who don't mind a slow start with some interesting twists, it's a good choice.
I was unable to review this book due to losing my original Amazon account, and the books were archived. So I cannot re-download. I do still think this novel sounds amazing and will do my best to read in the future.
Thank you to netgalley for allowing me the title in the first place.
Apologies to netgalley, the author, and the publisher for not reviewing promptly.
