Excellent read. I loved this so much I went on and purchased the audiobook as well. Looking forward to the sequel if I can get my hands on it.

Living during the 1960s in Chicago’s South Side, Jean “Stevie” Stevenson is adjusting to the changing times and Black Power movement, in the household of her strict old fashioned mother.
A really interesting coming-of-age novel and I am seriously wanting to read the rest of the series.
