I went in expecting to be entertained and definitely was not disappointed. “100 Deadly Skills” is a quick and informative read and the illustrations are EVERYTHING. If I have one minor criticism, it’s that I wish that the techniques presented in “100 Deadly Skills” were geared more towards the “every man” rather than the Violent Nomad/Operative. I also felt that the content could have been organized better - the overall read felt very chaotic.
A good book in that if you get past some of the real overblown stuff and follow the everyday items of your surroundings, strangers in your neighborhood, don’t leave your car running while you go inside to get a coffee maybe your car won’t get stolen. Or lock your doors and windows, it is surprising how many people will leave an upstairs window unlocked and also have a ladder outside hello burglar. Simple changes yes but most people don’t do them.
Some of his other tips of running away first are always good, fighting is for the movies or books. Other techniques he spoke of picking locks and breaking things you really need to try and then practice just to see what is simple and what is not. What I have found is that most people especially women are not paying attention when they are out. They don’t look around; they are on there phones or just distracted. Being aware is the first part of your safety. Overall a good book.
