A beautiful story about two very damaged people and how they found their way to each other. Both Jo and Adam get a coveted spot on a astronomy internship in Puerto Rico. Jo has always felt alone and feels that by being a girl the whole world is against her. Adam has a long distance relationship he's not quite sure how to end or if he even wants too. Adam instantly falls for Jo even though she turns him away at every turn, even getting violent, he doesn't give up instead he keeps chipping away at her defenses until she gives in.
I very much wanted to appreciate this book since it was set in my hometown but god lord i was tired of hearing how horible Jo's life had been. In reality she only daddy issues, she grew up healthy and with everything she needed, I couldn't stand her selfishness and brattiness which was somehow forgiven because of some issues. The romance was cute but not enough to overlook the 100's of pages of "feeling bad" for Jo

I received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I appreciated so many things about this book.
Neither of the characters were innocent virgins.
Self love, it's rarely written about and it was done so well. (Actually anything involving sex in the book was done PERFECTLY.)
There was no cheating. I was SO happy with Adam's decisions about certain things, it made him that much more lovable.
It was just a lot of fun watching their relationships get stronger as the story went on

I was really happy with this book and I would absolutely check out more by Jeanette Grey.
