Friends to lovers story and a holiday romance, sign me up!
I liked this story a lot. Both Jenna and Andrew were great characters to get to know. I loved seeing their connection on the page. It was clear they shared a bond both as friends and as something more. They were a little annoying with their whiplash-like waffling between "should I" or "should I not'", but at least I got to experience their POVs which gave me a glimpse into how deeply they were struggling with their emotions. Add to that their chemistry and I was sold!
All in all, a sweet yet sizzling hot little holiday romance. A must for your holiday TBR.
I love this series but I really couldn't get into this book. I am all for rekindling an old crush but something about the heroine bringing a boyfriend home that all the sudden she doesn't like that much just rubbed me the wrong way. I really could't root for the characters to be together.
Unfortunately, after trying many of these books, this author's voice/writing style doesn't work for me. I have tried numerous books of hers and it just doesn't work for me. I have found many hockey romances that work for me, so I know the sport romance side of it isn't a "new" thing for me - but I don't really connect with this author's style.
She's a bland writer, with a surface scratching depth. I want that depth. When I try to look deeper into the storyline, I'm just not feeling it. I like being able to sink into a book, to get lost in the words, and be able to fall in love with the characters, and on these books I just couldn't.
This is what I’ve been waiting for from a Kelly Jamieson book! It was a cute, funny and sweet holiday novella about Jenna and Andrew. Andrew plays for the Aces and was taken in by Jenna’s family when they were younger. Off Limits moved quickly due to the fact that a lot of their back story was already established. This is definitely a book to get you in the Christmas spirit. I wouldn’t mind catching up with these two again somewhere down the line.
The aces hockey team is doing it again. God them make you want to be a part of everything there doing lol this is a fabulous read an just makes me want more an more from this series an this author. It's full of laughs, great characters and gorgeous hockey men mmm wish it was longer but only cause I wanted more but will have to do with the next book to keep me going lol would recommend author an series.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Really a 3.5 rating, but I rounded up. This one had a lot of heart but I had to deduct a little for the ending. For one, them telling her parents felt forced and too quick. I wanted to hear what the brothers thought and I found it odd that she'd be considering this big move without talking to her parents about it, especially since they were so close.
It was really just the end that I had an issue with - the rest was great. Friends to lovers is always a fun trope to read and Jamieson creates some very realistic characters. Looking forward to more Aces Hockey.
