First, thanks to Gallery Books and NetGalley for providing this ARC (years ago!) in exchange for an honest review.

I recently read Denial in between some other reads, and this is admittedly a very quick read. However, it's quick because this story is incomplete as it stands—there's a difference between ending on a cliffhanger and a novel being incomplete. For that reason, I didn't enjoy this book, and I felt like the characters were so unlikable because they weren't properly developed because this is an incomplete book.

I also didn't read the SIX BOOK series that Lisa Renee Jones suggests you read prior to this one, but I just feel like between the six books in the first series and the three in this series...that's unfair to the reader at that point if the individual books are not complete.

I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

An interesting romance suspense with a little bit of PG-rated scenes. The mystery in this book is killing me while reading it and I can't wait to check out the rest of this series. By the way, the author's writing style makes it pretty easy to dive into the story so though this is my first book by her, it certainly won't be the last. *Recommend*

I hadn't reviewed this as I didn't want to give a low rating, but it needs to move off my shelf here.

I don't think I was in the right headspace for it the time, I may try a re-read at some point, so for this I'll give it a mid road 3 stars because I'm sure its more me than the story being not right.,

A great start to a new series by one of my favorite authors! The mystery was well done and the characters were very intriguing!

This Book Was An Ok Read But It Was Far From A Great Read For Me. The Connection Between The Characters Is Good And The Secondary Characters Help With This Story Alot.

This Book Ends On A Cliffhanger Which Was Completely Expected To Be Honest. There Are Lots If Unanswered Questions And I Hope I Get All My Answers In The Next Book.

So In The Mean Time I Will Sit On The Fence Hoping Demand Will Rescue This Read.

Intense, fast paced, thriller with clues as to whodunnit in every page. I loved the mystery, intrigue and steamy development between Kaden and Ella. Lots of twists and turns as we try to figure out what happened to Ella when she wakes up in an Italian hospital bed with mysterious Kaden at her side. Who is he and how did she get there. In true Lisa Renee Jones' style it ends in a cliffhanger and I am left with a hangover.

Ooh what an exciting start to a new series, a mystery man who protects and cares for you. But the feeling deep down that something is not right and danger is coming for you. This book has it all i was hooked to the story and could not put it down. Could you trust someone you have met after an accident when you have no memory of anything, i can see why Ella did and what a journey it took her and the reader on.

I had been looking forward to this book for some time, and it did not disappoint. This book was thrilling and excited and I couldn't put it down. A fantastic start to a series, full of angst and delicious tension.

I look forward to more from Lisa Renee Jones and appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book.

Holy hell. What a ride that was and man what a cliffhanger. Aren’t I happy that the book was published years back so I had the chance to actually read all three books together. I would have actually forgotten the story and the hype of the story would have gone away. But most importantly I would have died waiting to know what the hell happened. 4 amazing italian stars!!!!

ARC was received from NetGalley for an honest review some time ago. I have always enjoyed reading Ms Jones's books and I have read some of the Inside Out books so the character of Ella was familiar.
Ella wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. Kayden is the mysterious stranger who claims to have helped her. Or us he more than he seems? Enter Gallo, the Detective who wants to know who she is. Kayden convinces her to leave the hospital under suspicious reasononing. What ensues us more questions and Ella starts to remember fragments of her life and we start to wonder what role Kayden played in her life. Spoiled alert. There is a cliffhanger. Overall I enjoyed it and am sorry it took me so long to read.

I have always enjoyed Lisa Renee Jones’ writings and Denial is no different. I believe this is some sort of spin off series of another series she previously released. In those particular books, what happened to Ella consumed me and now in Denial we get to see her side of everything.

Denial is a great mix of suspense with a big erotic aspect to the storyline. The plot was amazing and well executed while the characters are easy to connect with. The entire time I’m left wondering what has really happened and what will happen next. I loved, loved, loved Denial.

I have really enjoyed this book as it has a great mix of suspense, story line and a little bit of erotic buildup. It starts out with Ella waking up in a Italian hospital with no memory of how she got to Italy or landed in the hospital. Kayden the male lead ends up getting tied to her story and you journey though the book with these two as they hunt for her memories. Highly recommend if you like romantic and suspenseful books (sex is not in your face!)

Shock and awe! Each page holds you captive and gives you a new clue to go with the mystery of who the heck Ella is. She wakes up in foreign country and has no memory of who she is, she doesn't even know her name which makes for interesting conversations. It's an up and down hill battle to piece together clues of what is going on or how she got there. Kayden 'finds' her and takes her to the hospital, but did he really or is that what he tells her. Not knowing who to trust or which player in the game is on your team is not welcoming in figure out her life for Ella but she isn't as docile as she seems.

Denial is the first book in a spinoff of another series by Lis Renee Jones called Inside Out. I haven't read the original series yet did not feel like I was missing anything when I started Denial.

This book was hot and fast paced from the moment Ella wakes up in the hospital. The author did a great job keeping the pace moving along to the end and I would definitely recommend it to fans of contemporary romance. I can't wait to find out what happens next in Ella and Kayden's story!

From the moment she woke up in Italy, Ella has had no memory of who she is or why she's there in the first place. To make matters worse, she now has to contend with a man intent on protecting her every move. While that does appeal to her, it also makes her afraid. She has no idea who this man is, or why he came to her rescue in the first place. Still, he's the only one she can trust for the time being. At least until she regains her memory.

I love Lisa's stories, and Denial is no exception. If you've read her Inside Out series, then you're already familiar with who Ella is. In this series, however, we get to explore the reasons behind Ella's disappearance. We get to find out what's happened to her and how she overcomes the adversities popping up along the way.

This is a wonderful and refreshing series. Not only do the characters get new problems to contend with, but we're also given some closure to events that take place throughout the Inside Out series. It's nice to see Lisa tie up those lose threads. Granted, we're now left with several new threads that eventually must be answered and closed. Will Ella be able to find a bit of closure to the chaos that surrounds her, I wonder? Definitely looking forward to what book 2 has in store for us soon.

4.5 Stars

Ella, oh this intriguing, story! This woman with no memory of who she is and a man claiming her! GAH, a must read and LRJ does what she does - she weaves this complicated web that I love to get lost in. And then there's Kayden and I just don't know what to do with him! I'm ready for answers, but loving this so far!

Denial is the first book in the Careless Whispers series, which is a spin-off of the Inside out series. If you have read the Inside Out series, then you are already familiar with Ella the heroine of this book. If you haven't, then it's time to meet her. Ella wakes up in the hospital, remembering nothing, but Kayden is in the room with her which is good for Ella, but bad for the reader because he doesn't know anything about Ella's past. 336 pages later and I still have no idea what is happening. Ella needs to remember everything in the next book because I can't handle the teasing. At a point, I was wondering if Kayden was the bad guy somehow and then tried to reason myself by saying that the hero isn't supposed to be the bad guy.

The end is an effing cliffhanger which is very annoying if you ask me. Just when we reached the part where all the good things started to happen and I thought I would get some answers the book ended and now I will have to wait for demand which comes out on May of 2016. Isn't that great?

We learn a lot more things about Kayden's past than we do for Ella and I still feel like Kayden has more to say. I am not sure if I understood completely his world. To be completely honest, I wasn't as satisfied with this book as I was expecting to be and I couldn't completely connect with it. I felt like Denial was more like a set up for the next books and it was lacking something.

Maybe it was too slow for my taste, but I still managed to enjoy it enough to give it 4 stars and recommend to anyone who asked for a book to read. Denial is a must for the fans of the Inside Out series. It has more mystery than romance, which was fine by me and the relationship between the main couple aka Ella and Kayden is a little more than rocky.
