The author takes you through the lives and the battles these men fought for a better life that thought that they were fighting for. they would fight in more than just the battle of Brooklyn but they showed the spirit of brotherhood and sacrifice. A very good book about men I had never heard about before.

It always feels like every story about the major USA wars must have been told, and then I come across another untold story and it really emphasizes just how big this country, and its wars, are. There's so many stories lost to history, and I'm really glad someone took the time to dig up this one...
