Rise of the Fae is the second book in The Society Trilogy. I highly recommend reading these books in order (obviously).

I blow through the first book of the series (Reign of the Vampire) and wondered how this one would match up. I am happy to report that this book was just as good as the previous book! What I loved about this second book was that it told the story from two brand new POVs yet it continued to build on the storyline and characters from the previous book.

Rise of the Fae has just enough sizzle to keep it steamy without it being too erotic. There’s plenty of chemistry between the two main characters and enough twists and turns to hold your attention from the first page until the last. I grew to really like Neeman during the first book and was excited to see behind his hard exterior and explore what made him tick. Selene is a dynamic heroine with a good balance of personal strength and vulnerability.

Selene is a half-fae half-demon. She has been sent back to Earth on a mission to stop a demon invasion. Neeman has tried overcoming heartache and the forcible turning into a vampyr. When he meets Selene in a nightclub, the pull might be just what he needs.
This was a pretty good story. I liked the setup and the characters were interesting to follow. The only thing is that I hadn’t read the first book in the series. I recommend.
