A cop gets pulled into a mystery by a ne'er-do-well relative, and then has to go it alone because of course no one in the department believes anything weird is going on.

I know this is just the first of sixteen episodes and that future episodes will develop the story, but I can't say what I've read here inspires me to read episode two. It's not terribly written, it's just terribly cliched.

I'm finding that Sal is becoming a popular name for main characters and they can be male or female, so sometimes it's hard to keep track of which Sal you're reading about.
I enjoyed the book, not sure if the author continued writing as wasn't compelled to pick up more of their work.

Interesting concept. Well done for a collaboration between several authors. Grabs your attention and gets you invested in the story quickly, which is essential in the first installment, or episode, of a series, or season, of short reads.
