Claudia discovers that she can visit inside paintings and when a young boy named Pim pleads for her help, she jumps into the art to try and save him from a witch. But, once inside the painting, she realizes that life is much more complicated than she first thought and she's not sure who to trust, not even Pim. I really enjoyed the art aspect of this story and it would pair well with The Frame-Up by Wendy McLeod MacKnight.

A fantasy based on art and and a mystery based on both. Loved it! Perfect for middle grades.

Good book. This would be great for any middle-grade reader interested not only in mysteries but also in art. It is a good introduction to art and I appreciated the references to art history. I would recommend this book.
