Pretend It's Love is a fake girlfriend, strangers to lovers, opposites attract full of shenanigans, fun, and avoiding family expectations.

In order to forge forward and make her venturing business a success Libby Harris needs Paul Chapman's help. If they agree to date maybe she'll find a way to bring her infused cocktail mixes into more restaurants and bars.

Together Paul and LIbby have more in common, intense chemistry, and a ton of fun. How long will it take for them to believe that their feelings are anything fake, will their family be convinced? Will they be able to rise above the expectations for their future, careers, and goals?

A spicy read full of great characters, lots of fun, and a whole lot of chemistry. Sit back ,pour a few, and get ready for some fun.

I just the first book in the series, but this one just wasn't my cuppa tea. I normally like the 'fake mates' trope, but I just found thoughts wandering and struggled to stay focused on this.

I received an ARC from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was an OK read. Paul and Libby had chemistry, that's for sure. I love fake relationship stories. This one had me feel like something was missing. Libby and Paul have their own reasons to create a fake relationship, but have had a strong attraction from the beginning. They fall in love too quickly and the ending left me wanting more. It was pretty predictable.
I did love their banter though. This is not a book I would purchase though.

Quick and dirty one.

Overall: nicely written. Characters you will love. Paul is floundering but does find his way thanks to Libby. They are great together. Fun and entertaining.

Characters: Paul: great mc. He is fun loving but wants more although he doesn’t realize what it is at first. He wants his family to see who he really is and not the one that is less. His cousin betrayed him and yet he is the one they look down at. He is sweet and kind. Instantly attracted to Libby but also has a deep desire to help her succeed. This is where his life changes. He meets someone who grounds him, understands him and has him see a vision of more. She has him want to achieve more.

Libby: a little tight but does start to relax thanks to Paul. He has her see there is more and different ways to achieve things. He shows her love, patience, kindness and support. Libby is smart and kind but wavering. she wants someone to believe in her and stand beside her. Paul does this but is afraid.

Plot: Two people hurt in the past help each other keep peace and achieve their goals. They fall in love and one fights it more than the other. They ground one another and also push each other to be who they are meant to be. A fun entertaining plot with two her to see characters who have you smile and want to see together and be successful.

Lucy has loved her brother's best friend Reece since the fourth grade. Reese thought about Lucy as a little sister...until he came home from college after his freshman year at nineteen. He all of a sudden saw Lucy in a different light, and couldn't stay away. They had a great summer that ended with a nasty breakup. Six years later, Lucy has her master's degree and is ready to start her dream job in California. She wants to take a two-week road trip on her way there, and thanks to her parents, she has an unexpected road-trip buddy: Reece!

They haven't seen each other for a while, but they both need to get to California, so find themselves agreeing to the idea. Over the next two weeks, they find

This was a great read! I would give it 4.5 stars. I liked the characters and the story. Throughout the book you see flashbacks of their past relationship, all the way to when they first met. It seems like they were fated from the beginning, or at least that is what it feels like by the end of the book.
