Loved this tension-filled romance!

If you are a fan of action and romance than this story has it all! I’ve read (and enjoyed) this author before and Gabe and Maylin’s suspense and steam-filled read has reminded me why! Maylin was desperate for help but even in her most dire need she was cool, steadfast and determined. Gabe recognized that immediately. What followed was a chemistry that percolated through every dangerous moment, each serious and light-hearted conversation. And all of it was surrounded by
Gabe’s team and Maylin’s talent for cooking, and an enemy that proved to be fierce. The buildup of their relationship was deceptively quiet as it grew and morphed while dodging bullets and danger around each corner. At the end of the day trust was going to be tested and battered…

I wouldn’t read this when you’re hungry (homemade noodles – yum!) but I definitely recommend picking up this story. Just do it after dinner…

Gabriel/Gabe Diaz didn’t bother looking at the woman who had approached him. He thought how the celebrity bodyguard gig was getting old. Fast, He’d had so many propositions tonight from plastic women. He'd been the one to insist his team take on easy jobs during their downtime between the real engagements. Gabe was a Centurion. It kept a steady flow of income for their private military contracting business and the executive level connections had an even more significant value than simple dollar signs. She then said to Gabe-” my little sister is missing.” he and his partners were heavy hitters, not the kind of people you sent in to do anything but cause strategic destruction. They went into hotspots overseas and did the things politicians didn’t admit to knowing about. Things a U S uniform wouldn’t be doing. Gabe told her she would do better hiring a private investigator. People didn’t hire private contractors like the Centurians for delicate jobs. The Centaurians Corporation took contracts internationally for more….potentially volatile situations. Maylin admitted this had been a complete and total failure as the man wouldn’t help her. The party was over now and she only needs to finish seeing her teams clean up of the catering equipment . Maylin owned a catering company that did upscale jobs. Than she would figure out what her possible alternatives were. Ai-mei had been the family of her heart. An-Mei was a top geneticist and wasn’t the type to just take off. Maylin would do anything for her little sister. Anything to get her back. Maylin heard screeching , the sound of tires on wet pavement. “ down” . A wall slammed into her left side , taking her to the ground and rolling with her and they hit the side of a building. Gage said he saw the car idling on the street. It had been waiting for maylin. Than Gage made sure maylin got home safely. After seeing Maylin almost get run down Gabe is determined to help and protect her. An-Mei came up missing while at a Genetics conference in China.
I enjoyed this book It grabbed my attention right in the beginning and kept it until the end of this book. I loved the suspense, intrigue, and danger. This book had some great writing. I didn’t want to put his down. I was a little disappointed with the romance aspect. I did love how close the guys were of the Centurion Corporation- just like family. A good plot and pace. This book has: betrayal. A beloved sister missing in China, murder attempt, passion, lies, heartbreak, Centurion Corporation, family ties, danger, suspense, and intrigue and so much more. I really liked Gabe and Maylim together and how they interacted with each other. I loved the characters and the twists and turns in this book and I recommend it.

Wasn't my cup of tea, found it to hard to get into the characters. Thanks for letting me try this book.
