**My thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
In this third book of the series, which can be read as a stand alone we have young Eric Becker finding his soul mate in Jayna Winston. They meet when he is on a job and she is there on charge of Omegas.
It turns out that both packs have a lot to learn about each other, however things will never be that simple. Jayna is in league with the Albanians thanks to her current pack leader and Eric decides to go undercover to help get her and her packmates out.
Jaynas pack trust her to make the right decisions and look up to her to steer them to safety, while Eric shows them how a true alpha cares for his pack mates.
They have a good group of friends around them and neither are afraid to get hurt if they can help each other.
Each book does seem to be getting better and better.

I’m determined to get through all the books that I missed in Paige Tyler’s SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series. I can’t believe I have not read all these books until now. I finally finished In the Company of Wolves, which is the third book to the series. I’m going to try to keep this review short and sweet, but no promises.
Female Protagonist: Jayna Winston – run away from home at a young age, transitioned into a werewolf shifter after running away, and now hangs out with other wolves like her. She’s one young werewolf that can handle her own. I adored her character because she is gone through so much in life, and she’s tough and fierce. No one should mess with her.
Male Protagonist: Eric Becker – SWAT Officer, Werewolf shifter, and one sexy alpha male. I loved his character in this book and getting to know him better. Paige Tyler has managed to get me to fall hard for each of these heroes in her stories.
Storyline/My Thoughts: I’m going to try not to give anything away because I’m not too fond of spoilers. Short storyline – Jayna and her wolves (that are beta) end up in Houston with their supposed Alpha Leader (a jerk). Their leader has them with Albanians doing criminal things. In comes Becker and the other SWAT members. They are there to stop them, but unfortunately, Becker finds out that some of the people they are going after are werewolves like them. He ends up saving Jayna from being caught because he is fascinated with her. (Could she be the One?) Jayna is confused, and so is everyone else. This is where I can’t say anything else without giving it away. You’ll have to read this book to find out. 🙂
This story was action-packed from the beginning. I was hooked when Jayna was introduced and then where Becker met Jayna. I knew it would be a whirlwind of craziness with these two since they are on opposite sides. Jayna’s a significant protector of the other beta wolves, and she knows her so-called alpha leader is doing them wrong. Becker comes in to help her and her team from getting away from the actual bad guys. He’s not a knight in shining armor, but someone that guides her. She knows how to protect herself. I love heroines that can handle themselves, and Jayna will prove herself at the end of the book.
Steaminess: Some Steam.
Trope: Fated Mates
HEA: Yes.
Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you are a fan of the Paranormal Romance genre, like I am, then you’ll enjoy this book/series. You do not need to read in order, but you’ll miss out on the previous books in the series if you read out of order.
I give this book 4-stars and can’t wait to dive into the next book in this series. I need to know who in SWAT will find their one true love. ❤️

After loving the previous book (5 star read!) I definitely was looking forward to this next book in the series.
This time around we get to read Eric and Jayna's story. From the beginning we get an inkling on how special Jayna is and how interesting her story will be once she became a wolf. I wasn't expecting what came next, so I was pleasantly surprised when the author came up with a nice twist regarding where Jayna ended up at.
Needless to say, it only got better from there once Eric came into the mix. Eric. *swoon* Smart, tech-savvy, hot alpha wolf with a wicked sense of humor, Eric drew my attention in the previous books but getting his story and seeing him struggle to keep his composure after encountering Jayna was tons of fun.
I enjoyed the way the author brought Eric and Jayna together. Through their time working together we get to see them connect and get to know each other better. There was the flirty banter and the usual animal attraction, but what I enjoyed the most were those few, yet impact-worthy moments, when they talked candidly and came to grips with their fated bond. Of course, there were those other moments that were...uff--believe me, animal attraction, indeed!!
Ultimately, what made this story even more enjoyable for me aside from the twists and turns, the connection and the off-the charts chemistry was the world building. Already familiar with the world the author established on the previous books, I was pleased to see the author expand on her world by adding more interesting elements to the mix. We get to know more about werewolves and their hierarchy and their abilities and behavior within their class.
All in all, a great addition to the series with plenty of criminal activity, fast-paced action, a fiery heroine and a charming alpha wolf. I can't wait for the next book!

I think in the Company of Wolves may be my favorite of the series so far. I love Eric and Jayna. This book just like the others in the series is hot and fun, with the right amount of suspense that I cant get enough of. . I love how alpha the werewolves are while still being sweet, and while yes there is some instalove happening it doesn’t really bother me in werewolf and shifter stories, and I really didn’t mind it at all for this story. Jayne is street smart and savvy but ended up in a bad situation and I like that you get different aspects to her character. I also enjoyed getting a little update on the other members of the pack. Overall I think is a great continuation of the series and I can’t wait to read the next.
