Everly is looking for a Dom that doesn't back away from her bratty attitude. She enjoys pain but likes to tease while getting it. Ambrose is a Dom that doesn't want to commit as he's experienced heartbreak and doesn't have plans to settle down. A deal breaker for Everly is a rich man. She's had horrible experiences growing up with the wealthy and has since generalized this along with how wealthy individuals carry themselves and spend their money. I was drawn in to Everly and Ambrose's story from the first page. I greatly enjoy this group of Dominant friends and their banter is lightening in heavy emotional scenes throughout the novel. The pace of relationship growth is realistic, but the lying hurt. Ambrose has a secret he's keeping from Everly and this lie of omission could cost him. Ambrose's sweet side broke me down and his ability to joke and make light while scening with Everly made him more lovable in my eyes. I can't wait for more from this group of friends as I believe Konstantin's story is next.
