I was happy to discover that this could be read as a standalone, despite this being book 3 in the series, as I was unaware it was a part of a series to begin with. Did I feel a little like I was missing something? Yes, but it wasn't enough to make the reading experience unpleasant. I liked the world and Aimee and Jake's growing relationship, and felt that overall this was a well written story.

I've been going through my netgalley backlist and I recently snagged the audiobook for this one.

As far as paranormal romances goes especially with wolf shifters, I definitely enjoyed it, but not quite my favorite. I didn't read the prior books, so I felt like I was missing a little something here and there.

When it came to the romance between Aimee and Jake, it happened a little too quickly for my liking.

I definitely want to go back to the beginning and possibly do a re-read of this one.
