I enjoyed reading this mystery novel. The author combines true crime with a fictional murder mystery in small town North Dakota. Joya is an investigative reporter in Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in a small town in Montana. She stumbles across a mob story in Phoenix. Meanwhile in North Dakota a popular High School Student dies from a drug overdose and the town is looking for revenge. When she goes home to visit she finds herself drawn into the mystery. I enjoyed the North Dakota mystery more than the Phoenix one. The author does a good job with combining true events and fictional ones. I enjoyed reading the notes in the back. I liked the characters and small town setting. The North Dakota mystery was good and the solution made sense. The Phoenix story was OK but tying it into the North Dakota story was a bit of a stretch. It was a quick and easy read and the writing was good. Enjoy
