The third installment in the MUSE series with a virgin, unique powers, trying to keep from harm, threats, mysteries, and a dash of superhero regency style.

I really wanted to enjoy this series but for me, it was difficult to read but again, I know there is a captive audience who is craving something like this.

On the fence with my rating: Did I enjoy the read? Yes; however, I wonder if I would have enjoyed it more had I known it was the third book in a trilogy? Will I consider reading the first two books? Potentially, if I can find them used or have a serious craving for historical romance with a hint of the paranormal.

Fair read. Wouldn't read it again or recommend it to other historical romance readers.
