Cowboys are my jam…

And Darren fit the bill quite nicely, thank you! This friends to lovers story was sweet and fun, full of laughter and family. The way that Porchia and Darren got together was a treat as the auction antics made me laugh out loud. Camping, revengeful exes and a new-found love meant lots of frolicking in the woods, cowboy-style…

So much to like about this story though there were a few things that held me back. The romance was mostly sweet with a few steamy scenes (not a problem) but watch out for the descriptors used in those heated moments. They didn’t help set the sexy at all… Fast-forward though and, all in all, this was a good mid-series start for me, giving me just enough to make me start at the beginning.

Another great story by one of my favorite authors. I love this series and I can't wait to read the next book. The Montgomery's are such a fun family and I've loved every book in this series. Darren and Porchia are such a awesome couple. The chemistry between them was off the chartes. Now if Porchia can get only get past the fact that she's older then Darren they might have a chance at a HEA. That is until an evil from her past comes calling and threatens everything Porchia hold dear. Can Darren make her see that she belongs in in arms and in Texas?
If you've not read this series I suggest that you hope to it. You will not regret it!

If there is one thing I can count on from this author is a sizzling story, with a hard fought HEA. Not having read the first five books in the series was not a worry for me, I knew this author would provide enough backstory to allow me to get up to speed on the previous Montgomery's and their stories...I was not wrong.

From beginning to end the chemistry between Porchia and Darren is sizzling. I always love the friends to lovers stories, and with Darren providing Porchia with her need to escape her past and the evil it contained, the intenseness of the story was the perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the couple.

I can always count on this author to provide an entertaining story to get lost in, this on delivers exactly that...and more.
