I've enjoyed Kate Willoughby's books in the past and so I thought I'd give this one a try. Although not one of my favorites, I found it was an okay read. The writing was good with a well-balanced mix of elements. I believe my problem with the story stems from me not being able to connect with the characters and their romance. I liked Joe and I appreciated the fact that he was bit older and mature. I just didn't see him falling for a woman like Christine. I didn't dislike her per se, but I didn't care for her either. IDK, but I do know that I didn't become invested in the romance as I usually do.

All in all, not the story for me.

I've been really enjoying this series, and Under the Spotlight was a good addition. I really liked both Christine and Joe and enjoyed watching their relationship develop. I thought the chemistry between them was good. The storyline held my interest and kept me anxious to know what would happen next.
