Wow I'm just stunned with how good this title was. I just had so much fun reading this title and getting to along for the ride with these amazing characters. I'm so excited to see what's next from this author.
I could not get into the story. Sorry. It was well written but I just could not find the story believable and didn't feel up to reading enough to feel I could write an adequate review. That said, thank you for the opportunity to read and review.
This was a little slow at the beginning but later it was full of action and steamy moments. It takes place in the north of England, six years after the Norman conquest. Bridget, the eldest daughter of the replaced leader of the castle, has decided against marriage and to enter a convent. That is until she sees the new Earl, who is now her sister’s bethrothed. Grégoire, Earl of Shyleburgh is equally attracted to Bridget and their time together only reinforces their feelings. However, Grégoire is still bethrothed to Bridget’s sister and she doesn’t want to hurt her sister. There is also trouble with an old adversary of Bridgets that proves to be very dangerous. The main characters were all very likeable, there are some secondary characters that you will hate, as in the aunt. This became a very enjoyable read. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
