I think so of the best police procedurals are written by former policemen/women, and this is not exception! Boyce does a fantastic job of creating a face-paced thriller, and I also enjoyed the rich historical facts about Atlanta.

Unfortunately, I did not finish reading Out of the Blues by Trudy Nan Boyce. It may been a timing issue. As we all know, it has to be the right book at the right time.

Book 1 in this new police procedural series has the added authenticity as the author is a retired police officer. I look forward to reading more in this series.
