I wanted to read this book particularly because I was a huge fan of the Facts of Life, if you grew up in the 80s-90s this was the show you watched. Reading about the Mother Hen (Charlotte Rae) was amazing, coming from humble beginnings to where she is today. We all can relate and also there is something encouraging when you read a biography about people who started from the bottom up. I must say I was disappointed when she left the show but the show had changed once the girls grew up. I honestly felt rather than her leaving the show, they should have kept her with a group of new girls.
If you love retro, biographies, and watched Webster or the Facts of life you will definitely enjoy this book!

This was a pretty quick easy read and was rather entertaining. It was pretty cool reading about the late Miss Rae and getting glimpses into her career as well as her life.

What a wonderful book about Charlotte Rae !! I learned a lot about this actress in this book. I only knew her from Different Strokes and Facts of Life. What a great read !! I highly recommend this book !! Thank you Charlotte for letting us get to know you !!

As an 80s child THE FACTS OF LIFE was must see tv. I adored Mrs garret. She was quick witted and funny. This book was enjoyable and I learned a lot
