This is the third book in the Kings Meadow Romance Series, but can be read as a standalone. I love Robin Lee Hatchers' way of writing and the way she can make you feel like you are a part of the story with no problem.
This story is about Penny and Trevor, and Brad as much as it is hard to believe a dead character can play a vital role in this story. Penny is Brad's sister. Trevor is a musician that is trying to make it in the world of music and Brad is his drummer. When and accident occurs and Brad is killed, Trevor never stops feeling responsible for Brad's death, neither does Penny.
When Penny and Trevor run into each other years later, they have one thing in common and that is still trying to get over Brad's death. Penny is angry and doesn't really know how to deal with her anger. Trevor is very patient with Penny when she shows this anger and tries to help her work through some of it. When sparks begin to fly between these two, will they be able to overcome Brad;s death to find what they really want with each other? You will have to read and see how this ends.
I thought the storyline in this book was very well thought out and that the characters were well developed. I am going to have to go back and read the rest of the Kings Meadow Romance from Robin Lee Hatcher. I can't wait to see what is next from this author for her readers!
Love Robin Lee Hatcher's writing! Never disappointed in her books. This one is the third in a series, but I got quickly into this one, having read none of the others in this series.
I read it quickly as it was attention grabbing and looked forward to having time to pick it back up. Very easy book to relate to.
Penny has lost, first her mother, as a young child and more recently, her younger brother, Brad. You'll experience her grief, guilt, forgiveness with her and rejoice when redemption occurs. With romance added, how can it be a bad read?
I was given a free ecopy of this by the publisher, Thomas Nelson and Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
This author is an auto-read for me and many of my patrons.
3.5 stars (Good)! I was looking for a fast, enjoyable read to cap an intense weekend, and this book absolutely fit the bill. Not as dramatic or intense a romance as I would've preferred, considering this story's darker themes, and I didn't quite buy into the happily-ever-after. Still, Hatcher knows how to deliver a surefire hit with strong spiritual themes, which makes her and this book a can't-miss read for all lovers of contemporary inspirational romance.
