I enjoyed this book regardless of it not sitting in my typical wheelhouse- though that can be a wonderful thing. Transcribing history with facts about someone that hasn't been particularly high-profile can be a gutsy choice, however, if it can appeal to anyone. That is what I encountered with this book. I also enjoyed the feelings of inspiration that reading about such an intriguing woman caused.Getting a different perception on John Quincy Adams was also incredibly interesting and will also stick with me.
