My daughter's first day of Kindergarten was today. They read The Kissing Hand so for her bedtime story tonight we followed up with another story about Chester. This one about facing bullies. Thankfully there are no bullies in her kindergarten class.

Another sweet Chester book. When my son was being bullied at school this book helped him realize it wasn’t just him. All of the Chester books are amazing. Definitely recommend.

Another great Chester Raccoon book, and another great message to impart! Chester and his friends are dealing with a bully at school, and when Chester's mother learns of this, she tells them a story, as only she can do. She explains that maybe if the kids change their perspective and the way they see the bully, maybe they can get to the root of what makes the bully a bully in the first place. As usual, she is right!

I love these books because the illustrations are colorful and attention grabbing, and the story is always a good lesson that kids don't even realize they're learning.

Highly recommend:

5/5 stars.

I received a copy of this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

I love all the Kissing Hand series books both for the beautiful illustrations and the wonderful messages they convey. This addition to the series is no exception and tackles the subject of bullying in an age appropriate manner.

The Kissing Hand series books are all adorable (and I have read a few of them now)- in the stories they tell, the illustrations, the characters, and the way the stories are told that make it easy for the youngest readers to understand and appreciate. This book also does the same - for showing kids that bullies are just like everyone else - and on how to befriend bullies and be afraid of them.
Thank you to netgalley for a digital copy of the book (this was from earlier and reread a library copy to write this review)

The art in this book is wonderful, and the message is a good one. I found that it might be a bit too wordy for the age group that it is intended for.
