Part of several series, works as a stand alone

I am going to put a disclaimer on this one- I have just read a string of less than mediocre books. Romance where the H or h is married to someone else until the end, people fighting over nothing, etc... So, I am not sure if this was as good as I am rating it. Lol. In comparison to the last few books I've read, it was freaking fantastic. But has I not come off such a string, I may have been less enthusiastic.

Also, when I read, I look at the book for what it is. I knew this would be a romance, perhaps with a little spice. I was not going into it looking for the meaning of life or expecting a literary masterpiece. I went into it looking for some fluffy escapism. And this delivered.

I loved Finn and his kids. Kate was alright- I wanted to shake her a few times. There were some parts where you really had to stretch your imagination, but overall a decent read.
