There is a lot of really helpful information in this cookbook on how to cut different vegetables. I really love that they showed the steps on what you have to do and pictures to go with them. There are also recipes that follow the how-to steps so you can get an idea of what to make after you prep a specific vegetable. This would be extremely helpful to beginners in the kitchen and useful to experienced cooks that don't know how to cut ALL vegetables.
This is a lovely vegetable cookbook!
I love the preparation practicality of it - starting with the preparation (aka "butchery" - which represents the cutting/peeling methods)
and practical tips (for example combinations, quality advice and storage).
And lovely recipes (the nettle pesto - who knew?).
The recipes look simple (not so many fancy ingredients and techniques used - or if there are some a bit fancy ingredients, they also made for the swoonworthiness!).
The recipes also are mouth-watering just by reading it.
My only complaint would be - more pictures (both of the dishes and of the steps (if needed)). If such an attention is dedicated to the cutting and peeling, the same amount (or more) should be dedicated to the cooking process (which would be most useful for the beginners).
Otherwise - a lovely cookbook (and he good vegetable cookbook is always a plus!).
I loved this book! After getting an advanced review copy on NetGalley, I decided to buy my own copy.
