I found this realllllly slow to start - it’s subtitle is the mystery of the missing cat, and that cat doesn’t even go missing until past the halfway point of the book! It spent too much time establishing the world and the characters, and I feel that sometimes it was repetitive in its efforts and could have been edited down a bit. But I will say that after that, it really does pick up speed and the characters get to go on a great adventure! I thoroughly enjoyed the second half.
