This was a light, easy read but perhaps just a bit too much for me and personally I found it just a little too cliché. I don't do well with 'insta-love' and this certainly fell in that category for me. Miko grated on me slightly because there was just no backup for why she was so obsessed over Liam, the characters felt so flat. The references to other books were again just too many and just felt forced. Overall an easy read but unfortunately nothing special.
This was a fun book to read and I read it as a stand alone. I would like to start from the first of the series though. I loved the frequent dollops of humor and found it to be highly entertaining.
Many thanks to Lake Union Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion
I really prefer Rachel fiction books to her non fiction. I would she would have continued writing fiction. These were cute, light reads that I really enjoyed.
After enjoying the first two books, this third book was disappointing from the start. I set it down and never picked it back up.
This story felt too forced and sweet. Too many pop-culture references, catch-phrase dialogue and an unrealistic relationship that sends a negative message about self-worth and expectations.
I found myself skimming the book in hopes it would get better but it continued to fall flat and at times I was frustrated with how our heroine wound up.
Perhaps the next book will have a stronger ending for character that deserved so much more.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
DNF. I just couldn't any more. Got about half way through and couldn't stand Miko.
I couldn’t finish this book, I like the author’s writing and have enjoyed many of their books before but this one wasn’t one I could get into. I will try again when the author’s next book is released as I am a fan of theirs.
