Cut the Sugar, You're Sweet Enough is an interesting and insightful take on trying to be healthier while also still enjoying what you are eating.
It was interesting to read the author's story and what led her to make the decisions she did for her health. I think it's always commendable to work on being healthier and I like how she didn't want you to cut out all sweets all together but instead switch to more natural forms of sugar that are less processed. Thats something that I have been slowly trying to do myself. I also liked how she mentioned making sure you are eating protein and healthy fats alongside the sugar to make it more long-lasting and to not cause so much of a blood sugar spike at once. All of these are great things.
I also liked how she gave ways to help prep some of the grains easily and sugar alternatives to use to help make the change over simpler.
Personally, I loved the breakfast ideas the most as breakfast is a meal that I have always struggled with and did typically before hand just end up eating a granola bar because it was quick and easy.
I can't wait to include more of these recipes into my everyday life and continue on my journey of being healthier.
( I ended up getting a copy from the library)
Thank you Netgalley for the review copy.
The pictures in this book are impressive and I spent alot of time flicking through the pages and marking what I liked. However, I did not expect the recipes to be meat free and vegan and there were a lot of ingredients that seemed a little expensive and probably quite hard to get.
I was looking for a book that could be used as an everyday guide to healthier meals but this seems to be for those who wish to be a bit more extreme and more dedicated than I could be
Really great book! I'm still trying some of the recipes but so far everything is beautiful.
