A brand new author to me - I do like finding a new author. An enjoyable read and would be interested in reading more by this author.

This is Book 2 in Samantha Chase’s Shaughnessy Brothers series. You can easily read this without having read the first book. However, I highly recommend that you read Book 1, Made for Us, first because those main characters are also in this book, and it will make this book so much more enjoyable.

Made for Us is Hugh Shaughnessy’s story. Hugh owns a string of hotels around the world. However, when he was younger, he was a rough, tough boy who didn’t follow rules or schedules or listen to his parents. Since his mother’s death, he is obsessed with all of those things. Plus, he has given up taking chances and never leaves his comfort zone.

Then he meets Zoe Dalton. Zoe comes to Hugh’s hotel to please her parents and get married to a man she doesn’t know. Fortunately, she realizes she that cannot do it. Instead, because of some mix-ups, Zoe ends up staying at the hotel and working for Hugh.

Hugh has a wonderful, loving family which includes four brothers and one sister. They are led by their caring, supportive widowed father. Even though, they argue and/or disagree, they are always there for each other.

Zoe’s parents, on the other hand, are aloof and undemonstrative. She has never heard them express their love for her. They are very strict and will not let her do anything adventurous or dangerous.

Zoe and Hugh have incredible chemistry, and it is exciting to “watch” them interact with each other. Their major problem is that Zoe, experiencing freedom for the first time, wants to experience everything at the hotel. while Hugh will not take any chances.

Ms. Chase does a fantastic job of allowing the reader feel their chemistry while they struggle to overcome their differences.

I loved this book, and I highly recommend it to others!

Hugh was set in his ways while Aubrey was a little impulsive. That should have been a recipe for distaster but they made it work. Great beach read!!

Entertaining read! Liked the characters and story flow. Good read. Could not put it down. Liked the interaction between characters. Would recommend!
