Micah 'Prince' Carpenter thought he'd left New Orleans behind when he headed west and became a hotel entrepreneur, but the death of his beloved father figure Priest has him back in his old haunts, and under the direction of the Deacon's leader Ajax, given the charge of watching Sarah Delacroix. Unbeknownst to her, the Deacons now own the heritage house that's been in her family for decades. And they're also somehow involved in Priest's death. For Sarah, having Micah underfoot shows her that living up to her family's reputation isn't really what she wants, and in his bed she gets to be herself, and their kinks align making for some steamy scenes. The action heats up just like their relationship as the book races towards the finale of the 4 book story arc. I enjoyed all aspects of the story and the resolution. The relationship also has a satisfying happy ending. I may just have to jump back in to the beginning and reread the whole series!
The fourth book in the Deacons of Bourbon Street) where each book s written by four different authors
New Orleans, Motorcycles, bikers, a murdered Priest, a plot twist, tattoos, scandal, and secrets. Will they all be revealed and solved?
A story about brotherhood, family, overcoming obstacles, and rising above expectations. Scorchin chemistry, raw, and surprise ending.
I do love a story envolving motorcycle clubs, but I could not get into this one.
The writting was good though, it was just the plot that didn't do it for me.
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you
A refreshing read of Magic Mike. It was like anything I have ever read,
This is the final booking the Deacons of Bourbon Street. I was patiently waiting for this book and to answer my questions. Plus who killed Priest.
Prince left the biker life ten years ago and now he is back on NOLA to pay up his debt to the club. He is also eager to know what happened to his mentor.
Sarah Delacroix comes from a well known family in NOLA she is desperate to reinstate her family's good name. The MC ends up and the Delacroix estate that has clues that priest was some what involved with Sarah's family. Prince is hiding a lot from Sarah that will be both their down fall.
Overall this last book wrapped the entire series up and answered all of my questions and then some.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
A great wrap up to the series with some super hot moments, a couple super sweet moments, and a satisfying end. Micah was gruff and hiding the rougher parts of himself. Sarah is figuring out who she is - finally starting to be uncomfortable with her 'blue blood' lifestyle. I don't know that I could forgive Micah as quickly as Sarah did at the end, but them coming together was plausible.
This series made me really want to go back to New Orleans and find a biker. Also? I kinda want Blade's story....is that weird?
