This book is a refreshing and approachable guide to fitness and healthy living. Oprea keeps it simple, which is what I appreciated most. The concept of focusing on four key foods and four-minute tabata workouts makes the idea of staying healthy feel less overwhelming and more realistic, especially for those with busy schedules.
What stood out to me was how encouraging Oprea is throughout the book. She doesn’t come off as harsh or preachy. Instead, she explains how small changes can lead to long-term results. I liked how the book feels less like a strict diet plan and more like a sustainable lifestyle shift. Her tips on cutting down bloat and sugar cravings were especially helpful.
That said, I do think the book could have included more variety in recipes or sample meal ideas to make it easier for beginners. Some sections felt a bit repetitive, and I would’ve loved more visuals or workout breakdowns for those who learn better through pictures.
Still, this is a solid pick for someone who wants to ease into a healthier lifestyle without overcomplicating things. It’s motivating, positive, and full of doable advice. Oprea’s personality shines through the pages, which makes it feel like you’re being coached by a friend who genuinely wants you to win.

This book was released earlier this year and I have been using it for the past several months. I absolutely love it!
I have alot of health and fitness books and this one is by far one of the best ones I own. I have referred to it lots of times over the months for nutrition help and Tabata workouts. Don’t be put off by the word “diet” in the title of the book. Over the course of 4 weeks, Erin walks you through the importance of REDUCING (not eliminating completely!) 4 things: sugar, starches, sodium and alcohol. For example, you don’t eliminate your starches and carbs completely. She explains what carbs are better to eat and WHEN you should eat them to fuel your body properly.
She also explains what Tabata workouts are and how to do them. She includes a 4 week exercise plan (with pictures!) which includes beginner, intermediate and advanced Tabata exercises. I have incorporated these Tabatas into many of my workouts over the course of several months and love them! I am able to work at my own level to do 20 seconds of a movement as best and hard as I can, then 10 seconds of rest. You only need a set of hand weights for these workouts and small space. I was even able to do them while on vacation this summer!
I truly can’t say enough good things about this book!
